In 1982, I was voted as
class artist by my graduating class at Enfield High School
in Enfield Connecticut.
This gallery contains a mixture of
paintings and drawings which were created many
years ago when I was in high school and some soon after I graduated, but
before I became a Christian (B.C. - Before Christ) in 1984.
In high school I was very focused on art
having taken every art and graphic arts class available. When they ran
out of art classes for me to take, they put me in an independent study
where I would attend the regular art classes, but instead of doing the
assignments that the rest of the class was doing, I was doing my own
advanced art studies assignments.
In addition to art I was very much
interested in acting and had been involved in the school's theater arts
and drama clubs from 7th through 12th grade. During that time I had
participated in all aspects of theater production ranging from set
design to walk on parts, lead roles and even singing a solo as Cornelius
Hackel in Hello Dolly. For a while I had considered pursuing a career in
acting, but my artistic desires won out. |
